VALCORE Community Recycling: Check out www.VALCORErecycling.org. VALCORE Recycling 2004 Workdays: April 3, May 29, July 3, August 28, September 18 (Coastal Cleanup), Oct 16 and Dec 11 (Vallejo Farmers Market). We work from 9 am to Noon. $50 is offered to volunteer supervisors for their favorite classroom. Thanks to all for bringing their valuable recyclables to Vallejo. We have a new web master, Ricardo Serrano, and the site is hot. ******** Recycling Contest & New CRV Prices Each Quarter, one VALCORE group will have a chance to win a $25 bonus for their group. Between April and June, the group highest total CRV donations will get the bonus. Solano Group is over 1000 strong, please consider bringing in your CRV and other items once a quarter. Household Battery Recycling VALCORE is now accepting all household batteries: alkaline, heavy duty and all rechargeable. Please don't put them into your trash, They contain hazardous and recoverable materials. Auto batteries are not accepted at VALCORE. Household batteries are also accepted at Solano Garbage, Vacaville Sanitary Service Recycling Center, Vallejo-Napa Household Hazardous Waste Facility. ******** Solano County Recycling Waste The ever popular Solano County Recycling Guide is now on-line. Go to www.recycle-guide.com for information in your community including news of recycling and environmental events in your town. This is an enormous project that I am collecting data for. So please be patient as new features will be added continuously. |
