REDWOOD NEEDLES
According to Stan Greenberg, President Clinton's pollster, since the last election the issues that have consistently been of most concern to the public have been Medicare and Social Security. Until, that is, the first quarter of 1996 when the environment displaced them as the top issues and protecting America's environment became the number one issue. Clearly, this shift has delivered a clear message to the politicians seeking election. The federal political candidates have now heard this message but the state representatives clearly need to hear this wakeup call. The American public won't stand for the destruction of their rights to a clean environment and the protection of their family's future.
