Campaign Finance Reform
By Len Swenson
All candidates for State and Congressional office
representing Sonoma County have been invited to speak at a
public forum on campaign finance reform on Saturday, May 2
in the Forum Room of the Santa Rosa Public Library, 3rd and
E Streets, from 10 am to 2 pm.
The forum, sponsored by the Sierra Club and numerous
other organizations, will be moderated by the League of
Women Voters. Candidates have been invited to engage in a
thoughtful exchange of ideas concerning ways this issue may
be used meaningfully in their campaign, as well as through
the legislative process.
The organizations sponsoring this forum have done so in
the belief that campaign finance reform is a central
challenge for our political system today.
-Len Swenson, Sonoma County Group Political
Co-Chair
