"Rules for Recovery"
Sierra Club's Campaign for Salmon Recovery
streams too warm and muddy for salmon
dams
and water diversions are disrupting the flows that salmon
need to reach spawning habitat
urban sprawl and
pesticide use are polluting our streams.
"We have the tools to protect the emblem of California's
wildlands in the form of state and federal laws such as the
Endangered Species Act and the Clean Water Act," says
Jennifer Witherspoon, program assistant for the Sierra Club,
"but our state and federal leadership have failed to enforce
the laws."
NOW is the time for us to act to convince our political
representatives to save salmon. Join us for an educational
slideshow and workshop to learn how you can help save
California salmon.
