13th Annual Russian River Watershed Cleanup

The thirteenth annual Russian River Watershed Cleanup is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday September 23&endash;24, 2000. This event is sponsored in part by Sequoia Paddling Club, Trowbridge Canoes, and PG&E. Volunteers are needed to help with planning and organization of this two day event. Community members will clean up the river between Asti and the ocean by canoe and by foot on Saturday. Collected trash is sorted for recycling on Sunday. Organizational meetings are scheduled for August 7 and 28 at Mary's Pizza at Piner and Marlow in Santa Rosa at 6:30 p.m.

The Russian River Watershed Cleanup is working in coordination with Russian River Unlimited, which cleans the river north of Cloverdale and with the Russian River Celebration.
