Mendocino Group Report Horace Mann | |

Longtime Sierra Club members Horace Mann and Laura Edminster have been elected to the Mendocino Group Executive Committee to fill the remaining terms (until 12-31-04) of ExCom members who resigned earlier this year. We have a planning meeting scheduled to get a Group Outings Program off the ground - Saturday, August 23 at 1:00pm at the Ford House on the Mendocino Headlands. For more information on the planning meeting contact Rose Marie Hester at rosetree@mymailstation.com or 964-6557. The Executive Committee is also planning a General Membership Meeting for late September or early October on the Mendocino Coast. Group members are planning for a weekend afternoon of entertainment, speaker(s) and a potluck. Details will follow in the next Needles issue (if the publishing schedule permits) and by direct mail to all Mendocino County Sierra Club members. |
The Mendocino Group has decided to adopt a Vista Point on Highway 1 just south of Westport. If any club member would like to help with the monthly cleanups, please contact Michele White at wildlifeworkshop@hotmail.com or 964-4803. The next Executive Committee meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, August 13 at 6:00pm at the Mendocino Hotel conference room. All Mendocino County Sierra Club members are invited. See you there! |
