Solar Energy Promoter: Are you interested in promoting solar energy and have some time to assist in making solar permits more affordable in your area? We are teaming up with Loma Prieta Chapter to help expand their successful solar permit fee campaign state wide. We are looking for a few volunteers from throughout the Redwood Chapter to help with this effort. The campaign has had successes but is a continuing effort. Chapter Volunteer Coordinator: We are looking for a volunteer who will work with Chapter and Group leaders to identify and recruit potential volunteers and match volunteers to their areas of interest and increase volunteer participation. Help Save the Biosphere: The Sierra Club needs volunteers to support the environment. Volunteers can help collect signatures for petitions and postcards, write letters to elected of.cials, or pass out literature at public events and promote the support and understanding of such issues as Global Warming and the local to global Climate Recovery Campaign, Community Choice Aggregate Power or the General Plan Update. Sonoma Group Environmental Forum Committee: Vice-chair and Committee members needed. Help plan the monthly meetings for the Sierra Club. Design speakers and programs. Sonoma Group Water Committee: Limited time requirement. SPECIAL NEED; HELP SAVE WATER. Work with the Committee on a Rainwater Harvesting Plan. Help protect the quality of our water for people, wildlife, fish and other aquatic life. Volunteer to help the Water Committee with river, stream and groundwater recharge area protection.
