Information and a discussion presented by the Climate Protection Campaign and the Sierra Club. The October 24th International Day of Climate Action will be observed by the Sonoma Group at the CHOPS Teen Center on 509, Adams St (corner of W Sixth St) in Santa Rosa.
The day’s purpose is to create a sense of world-wide solidarity about the need to reduce greenhouse gas in the atmosphere to 350 parts-per-million. At present, the concentration is about 388 parts per million, and environmental damage is accumulating much more rapidly than expected. Humans must now stop adding to the problem.
You can help by attending the event at CHOPS with your symbolic illustration of "350" such as a puzzle of 350 pieces, cookies with 350 nut-chips, or something more imaginative. The effort now involves more than 100 countries.
Please let us know if you are attending.
