ACTIVIST/VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:
Chapter Secretary: Travel to wonderful Northern California towns and utilize your organizational talents. Work from a laptop or by hand. Be at the pulse of every action the Redwood Chapter explores. 8-14 hours per month depending on transcription time and capabilities. No previous experience necessary. Group secretary also needed with less time commitment.
Political Committee Members: The Sonoma Group ExCom has selected proactive politics as a major focus for 2001/2002. See announcement on page 9 for more information. 6 month commitment requested.
Computer Tech Support: Do you have PC skills? This is the job for you. We need back up work done and system error troubleshooting. This job can be accomplished usually within an hour per month at most and can be arranged on-call, and would be a tremendous help!
Environmental Dinner Volunteers: February 23 is our annual dinner. Do you have a couple of hours that night to contribute? Or perhaps a few to help make arrangements for the dinner's success? We need someone to solicit non-alcoholic beverages and/or arrange the glassware donations. Interested? 4 hour commitment and lots of fun! We also need someone to assist Genie in soliciting auction items. If you are outgoing and enthusiastic, we can use your help.
For more information on these and other opportunities, call: Office Coordinator Tom Devlin (544-7651) or come by the office at our new location (404 suite A, Mendocino Ave. Santa Rosa) Tuesday or Thursday 12-6:30 or by appointment.
Sonoma Group Political Committee Seeks Volunteers
The Sonoma Group ExCom has selected proactive politics as a major focus for 2001/2002. We believe it is important to scout out potential candidates and get on board with their campaigns before elections. Do you want to participate in this exciting committee and be at the forefront of the upcoming local elections? Change starts here and it is starting now! Work with fellow members to develop an environmentally responsive electorate in Sonoma County. The next Political Committee Meetings are Dec. 13th and Jan. 24th, 6-7:30 pm at the Environmental Center. Call Margaret Pennington, 829-2294, penningt@sonic.net, for more information.
