The Sierra Club is supporting legislation to require all cities to adopt urban growth boundaries to protect lands of statewide importance and to bring the consideration of environmental constraints into the way the state does its growth projections. However, if efforts to pass these needed laws are not successful, the club will consider a statewide ballot measure to manage growth, possibly in November 2006. |
