Solano Group Spring Potluck Dinner and Meeting - March 20 2004 Solano Group members are invited to attend the Solano Group Spring Potluck Dinner and Annual Meeting on Saturday, March 20 at 7 p.m. at the Fetterly Art Gallery located in the Vallejo Plaza at 2467 Sonoma Blvd. Dave Westman from the California Wild Heritage Campaign will be the guest speaker. There will be great food and desserts. Watch your mailboxes for a postcard with details. We will have a pot luck dinner. For those who don't want to bring food, we'll ask for a RSVP and a couple dollars for beverages. Their backyard overlooks the Benicia Open Space. Solano Group hosted an art opening at the Fetterly Art Gallery on November 15 as payment for use of the gallery for meetings. VALCORE Recycling 2004 Workdays: Feb 14 (Vallejo Farmers Market), April 3, April 24 (Earth Day at Farmers Market), May 29, July 3, August 28, September 18 (Coastal Cleanup), Oct 16 and Dec 11 (Vallejo Farmers Market). We work from 9 am to Noon. $50 is offered to volunteer supervisors for their favorite classroom. Thanks to all for bringing their valuable recyclables to Vallejo. Between January and March, the group with the most individuals donating to their group will win the prize. In the months of April, May, June, the group with the largest total value of all donations made to their group will win. Solano Group is over 1000 strong, please consider bringing in your CRV and other items once a quarter. Starting January 1, 2004, CA Redemption Value (CRV) prices have risen 80%. CRV containers under 24 ounces are now worth 4 cents each and containers over 24 ounces are worth 8 cents each. When you donate your aluminum CRV containers to Sierra Club, we will receive an extra 10 cents/pound payment.
