29th Annual Environmental Dinner and Dance Mark Massara to Speak at Annual Dinner | |

We are excited to have Mark Massara, current Director of Sierra Club's Coastal Programs as our featured speaker at our upcoming "Environmental Dinner and Dance". This annual event will be held on Saturday, March 12th, at the Sebastopol Veteran's Auditorium (details appear in the announcement on this page.) Mark Massara is an environmental lawyer specializing in coastal development, pollution, resource protection and public beach access issues. He has served as Director of Sierra Club's Coastal Programs for over ten years and prior to that was General Counsel for Surfrider Foundation. Mark is author and publisher of California CoastWatcher, a monthly internet news periodical dedicated to covering proceedings of the California Coastal Commission. Mark also coordinates publication of an annual conservation voting chart and analysis for the Coastal Commission. |
As part of Sierra Club's Great Coastal Places Campaign, Mark has coordinated Sierra Club's 5,000-member coastal activist network. Mark also serves on the Board of Directors of Vote the Coast, a Political Action Committtee dedicated to evaluating performance of statewide elected officials with respect to coastal protection issues. Our Master of Ceremonies for the environmental dinner will be Wade Belew from the "Krush" radio station. Also, NEW this year, we have added dancing to the program. Be sure to bring your dancing shoes for a few turns on the dance floor after the ceremonies.
