When this issue appears on the November ballot, citizens of Sonoma County will have a chance to decide the future of transportation: more pavement, more congestion, more greenhouse gas emissions, or the efficiency, speed and comfort of trains.

Come hear the experts describe the issues surrounding this project:

  • Lillian Hames
General Manager of the SMART Project
  • Bill Kortum
Founding member and current Board member of Sonoma County Conservation Action, and former Sonoma County Supervisor
  • Willard Richards
Sonoma County Transportation and Land Use Coalition member
  • Joel Woodhull
Sonoma County Transportation and Land Use Coalition member (Chair)
  • Steve Birdlebough
Sonoma County Transportation and Land Use Coalition member and Chair of Friends of SMART

These speakers have been involved with the SMART Project for many years and will answer all your questions. Some common misconceptions have been put forth by opponents of this plan. This Forum will help you to better understand the issues involved.

Refreshments will be available.
