We have not had outings listed in the Needles from those groups for quite some time now. As you know, our insurance is not valid for outings conducted that are not part of our program. The outings need to be printed in the newsletter to qualify as part of our program. Each outings group chair needs to communicate with the chapter outings chair. Each section needs to report to their group outings chair. We have a total of 33 registered leaders listd below. Some leaders need to repeat CPR and First Aid in 1999. If you are not registered and think you should be, please contact your outings chair. • North Group: Flora Hamanaka, Becky Kent, Susan Peterson and Norman Peterson (4) • Napa Group: Eric Apgar, Linda Banke, Chip Bouril, Diane Boyer, Nanette DeDonato, Ron Downs, Marlon Jacob, Wally Juchert, Josephine Maillard, Denise McDowell, Penny Proteau and Ken Thatcher (12) • Sonoma Group: Bill Arenander, Steve Allen, Chris Bekins, Tim Derry, Carl Inglin, Gary Haug, Barbara Josephson, Ray Louie, Shane McColgin, Tom Meldau, Linda Mollenhauer-Meyskens, Doug Porter, Teresita Salter-Haag, Linda Sartor, Ken Stuben, Lani Thompson and Carol Vellutini (17) We need your help Sonoma group is having a new outings leader training program in February. We encourage new leadership. Trail Days events will be coming up in April. National Trail Days is in June. A county coordinator is still needed for the California Beach Clean Up. A chapter retreat will be held in October. Each leader needs to attend. We will put a date in the next newsletter. Thanks to all leaders.
