Tertiary Treated Wastewater

Wednesday, June 16, 2004
7:00 to 9:00 PM
Environmental Center,
404 Mendocino Ave., Suite A
Downtown Santa Rosa

The Santa Rosa subregional system (which is made up of Sebastopol, Rohnert Park, Cotati and Santa Rosa) produces approximately 18 million gallons per day of tertiary treated wastewater. The Geysers handle about 11 million gallons per day of that water. The question is: What are we going to do with the rest? What do you know and what do you need to know about tertiary treated wastewater?

Come hear what four local experts have to say:

  • Brenda Adelman - Co-Founder and Chair of the Russian River Watershed Protection Committee, Fifth District appointee to the Sonoma County General Plan
  • Fred Corson, Ph.D. - Organic Chemist with Dow Chemical Company for 32 years, President Dry Creek Valley Association
  • Fred Euphrat, Ph.D. - Hydrologist, CA licensed Forester, Doctorate in Watershed Management
  • Robert Rawsom - Industrial Waste Inspector, Grade V Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator, President of Industrial Wastewater Solutions
