Population Committee Discusses Study

Some of you helped gather information for our study on the status of Sexuality Education in Sonoma County's middle and high schools. We are participating in a U.U. Forum Sunday Oct. 21st at 12:30 at the U.U. Fellowship &endash; Stony Point and Todd Rds. &endash; to: discuss our findings; review U.U.'s plans for teaching the "Our Whole Lives Curricula"; and to discuss helping to provide comprehensive Sexuality Education to Sonoma County's teenagers. We will also discuss how to support the Health Clinic at Elsie Allen High School &endash; the Sonoma County high school with the highest level of teen-age pregnancies. For more info call Sonoma Group Population Chair Jerry Kohl,579-6790.

See the Surgeon General's "Call to Action to Promote Sexual Health and Responsible Sexual Behavior" (June 2001) at www.surgeongeneral.gov/library/sexualhealth/call.html or contact Congresswoman Woolsey's office (542-7182) for a copy. For a copy of the Sonoma Co. Health Services report: "Sonoma County Health Perspective: Data Profile and Recommendations for Action." call Sharon Oman at 565-4553. For more info, contact the S.C.
