Activist/Volunteers Needed: Events Group: There are those people in the Sierra Club who like to hike, and those who love politics, but what about those of us who like to get together with like-minded environmentalist and have FUN! Our first event will be the Dessert Party Oct. 25th (see the calendar for details). Join us for other wild and fun programs. Be part of this new chapter group. Research Analyst: Are you someone who loves to read information-dense materials and has the knack to summarize them. We need you to review government documents sent to us regularly, and present briefs to the Conservation and Executive Committees. Lookout and Investigator: Do you love to read the local papers cover to cover and have the time to devour each environmental article? Are you constantly outraged and want someone to do something about it? Well, we are interested in tackling projects, if you can give us the heads-up. You only need to develop a systematic plan to contact us with local issues you scouted out. Multiple opportunities available. For more information on these and other opportunities, call: Office Coordinator Tom Devlin (544-7651) or come by the office at our new location (404 suite A, Mendocino Ave. Santa Rosa) Tuesday or Thursday 12-4:00 or by appointment. | |
