In 2000, millions of committed environmental supporters did not vote in the presidential election. In many states, just a few hundred or a few thousand votes decided the election.

Our strategy includes making multiple personal contacts to engage hundreds of thousands of environmental voters. But we need you to make it happen. And you can participate no matter where you are! Our effort is focused on key states such as Florida, Pennsylvania, Ohio, New Hampshire, Wisconsin, Oregon, Nevada, Minnesota, and New Mexico.

This program is an independent voter education effort, in which we do not advocate for the election or defeat of any candidate. Instead we educate the voters about the environmental records of Kerry and Bush, compare and contrast their records and remind all concerned voters to get out and vote.

• Individual Phone calling - call environmentally-oriented infrequent voters from home; or
• Hold House Parties - host volunteers for group phone calls

Calling remotely using our web interface that will enable you to download a list from our identified names, localized scripts and report back forms. These may take place from the comfort of your own home or at a locally organized chapter or group cell phone party. In the great tradition of the Sierra Club, this effort is volunteer-driven. That is why we are encouraging folks to bring and use their cell phones. Free evening and weekend minutes with no long distance charges permits our volunteers to organize no cost phone banks. Please indicate your interest in hosting a group event on your form.
