Come find out Sierra Club’s positions on the November election. There are many items to discuss. Among them there are two important local sales tax issues on the ballot in Sonoma County. One is for the possible extension of funding for acquisition of lands by the Open Space District (Measure F) and the other is Rail Transportation (Measure R). Both measures require two-thirds voter approval.

The Open Space District has provided an impressive record of land acquisitions from willing sellers. These include farmlands, community separators, coastlands, and other important areas that will help to provide long range protection for our important public assets.

Find out why Proposition 90, "The Taxpayer Trap" threatens to undermine land use planning and environmental protection.
