REDWOOD NEEDLES Presented by the Sierra Club Redwood Chapter Newsletter, The REDWOOD NEEDLES Return to Article Menu 12th Annual Russian River Cleanup, September 25&endash;26 Volunteers are needed to help with the organization, with the actual clean-up either by canoe or foot on September 25 and with recycling on September 26. Individuals who wish to participate in the cleanup and/or recycling efforts may call the phone line at 707-577-7151. If you have a particular section of the river between Asti and Jenner you are interested in working on, please leave that information on the phone line. We are currently planning for a gathering after the clean-up. There will also be other incentives for participants. Donations from businesses, public entities, and individuals are also needed. Donations may be sent to: Sequoia Paddling Club, P.O. Box 1164, Windsor, CA 95492. Please designate that the donation is earmarked for the Russian River Cleanup. Please save June 7 at 6:30 p.m.! Plan to attend the next organizational meeting Monday, June 7 at 6:30 p.m. at Mary’s Pizza, Marlow and Piner, Santa Rosa.
