CALIFORNIA
WILD HERITAGE CAMPAIGN
NAPA WILDERNESS HIKE
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
SUNDAY, JUNE 8TH
Long
Canyon, northeast Napa County, in the Knoxville Wildlife Area.
This
is a 9 mile, partial loop hike, with a gradual climb of about 1000 feet. We
will be on an overgrown ranch road,
so we'll be walking through tall grass. There will be spectacular views
of the proposed Blue Ridge
wilderness area in Napa County, and we will also be able to view the Napa
portion
of the proposed Cache
Creek wilderness area.
MEET:
8.30, parking lot north of Pope Creek bridge at Lake Berryessa
(intersection of Pope Canyon road and Berryessa-Knoxville road)
and we'll
car pool another 14 miles to the trail head.
A map showing how
to get to the meeting point is at:
