I am a Professor of Art at Solano Community College, and have been a member of the Sierra Club since 1986. After twelve years' residency in rural Napa County, I have a fair amount of knowledge regarding environmental and recreational issues in the region. I believe it is a crucial time to get involved and lend my experience to community coalitions which maintain and enhance a healthy environment.

As an educator for over 20 years, my experience in working with a wide variety of people will help me communicate the needs, concerns and desired outcomes of the various interested parties engaged with environmental issues. I look forward to volunteering my service to help with future educational outreach programs that may help to inform as well as bring rich outdoor experiences to our members. It is my primary interest to focus attention on coherent, consistent stewardship of our county's natural resources.

Appreciation and understanding of complex environmental relationships has the potential of fostering respect and awareness regarding the importance that good stewardship has not only to us but to the generations that follow. I believe our decisions should be made not only for today, but for the future.
